ABOUT RICK
In 2004 I entered my first Iditarod and have competed in 9 so far. My plan is to keep running as long as I can. This great race has rewarded, humbled, taught, and showed me you can do anything you set your mind to. This is why I never turn down the opportunity to speak about working with veterans, Iditarod and the great canine athletes I am so fortunate to run.
'Blessed’ is the first word that comes to mind when I think about the lifestyle I am able to live. Working with veterans and sled dogs was something I have always wanted to do. So in 2012, my wife Jennifer and myself started Battle Dawgs and Battle Dawgs Racing and never looked back. After I met with our very first group of Warriors, I knew right there my mission in life had changed.
With this platform, I intend to raise awareness, inspire, educate, motivate, and show people that chasing and living your passions can still happen. I can honestly say that working with these great Warriors has changed my focus on life. In return, I hope to share the great state of Alaska and all it has to offer with as many Warriors and people as possible.
Thank you to all our sponsors, friends, and the entire Battle Dawgs family for your continued support. Without all of your generous support, none of this would be possible. To all that have served and are currently serving this great country, I say thank you for your sacrifice.
